At Body Fix Therapies we have found that many people are surprised when they are offered a male therapist. More and more men are joining the ranks of this valuable profession all the time and the gap between male and female therapists in Sacramento is getting smaller every year.

Clients preferences for their therapist vary for many different reasons such as the ability to apply deeper pressure, various modalities, orthopedic work as opposed to relaxation, etc. However, the overwhelming majority of massage clients in Sacramento seem to prefer a female therapist.

At Body Fix Therapies we hire our therapists based on skill levels, not on gender. Currently we have more male therapists than female therapists.  The reason for this is that at Body Fix we specialize in Orthopedic Massage Therapy and since none of the schools for massage therapy in Sacramento offer training in Orthopedic Massage we are limited in hiring therapists that have either sought out additional training on their own, have moved from another state that requires their therapists to have this training, or bring on therapists as apprentices under our Master Therapist Kym.

For some reason more men are currently interested in this line of therapy than women, hence there are many more male Orthopedic Massage therapists not only at Body Fix but in the Sacramento area in general.
